The Monroe County Intermediate School District serves as a link between local districts and the Michigan Department of Education, providing sophisticated, specialized and costly services that local districts find impractical to provide on an individual basis.
Who We Serve
Monroe County Intermediate School District (MCISD) services nine local educational authorities. In addition the ISD also services two charter schools as well as 15 non-public schools and Holy Cross Children's Services. Student population and professional staff are greater than 27,000 and 1,600 respectively.
