STRATEGIES
• Establish an effective employee communication plan to improve internal communication and employee engagement.
The MCISD Communications Office will work collaboratively with all MCISD departments to design materials or craft messages to promote MCISD students, staff, activities and programs. Supervisors, teachers or staff are always encouraged to provide the Communications Coordinator with information pertaining to ANY event located on or off the MCISD campus via email, the MCISD website or a phone message.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to strengthen awareness of the MCISD.
The MCISD maintains a well-developed network of media contacts with whom we share information about new developments, upcoming events, personnel, and emerging issues. These contacts have provided a robust amount of coverage, including feature stories that spotlight important topics in our local media.
• Use a variety of media outlets to maximize awareness and support of the MCISD district goals, objectives and programs.
The MCISD maintains strong relationships with local print media as well as a customized district website and Facebook page that are updated through the Communications Office. Information is posted in a timely manner for all stakeholders to review. The MCISD also utilizes an Instant Alert Messaging System – Honeywell, as well as an all-mail email feature to send important messages to all employees. Through Honeywell, the administration also has the ability to create and send personal voice messages to particular employee groups.
